The starting point of the anise drink is the countries of the Middle East, mostly Lebanon and Syria.

Lebanese Arak: Arak El Rif Premium Reserve Red label from 1828. Arak El Rif is the most magical drink you will ever drink. Selected from the best grape and fennel seeds, Arak El Rif is an aniseed Lebanese drink with 60% alcohol content that has been used for centuries in Lebanon. The art of making El Rif is based on a highly secret formula and technique developed by the fifth generation of the best Arak producers. Served with: Kibbeh Laban – a traditional Lebanese appetizer. It’s on top of falafel, but with ground beef and an incredibly delicious yogurt sauce with pine nuts.

The path of anise continues through Anatolia and reaches the European part of Turkey, where the next anise drink comes from.

Turkish anise drink: Tekirdag gold raki – Tekirdag gold raki is created from the combination of the best Thracian grape grains and the highest quality anise that Western Anatolia offers. It is distilled 3 times. Served with: Adana kebab with milk-takhan sauce.

The anise road branches off to Greece. The variety is great there. Over 300 types of Ouzo and Tsipouro are known in mainland and island Greece. We have chosen Ouzo for you, which is completely unknown on the Bulgarian market.

Greek ουζο μυτιληνη πατρικοπουλος: Ouzo – The Third Generation. Patrikopoulos Brothers continues to create special recipes, balancing tradition and innovation. Ouzo from Mytilini is dry and soft to drink from 100% distillation. A mixture of experience, taste, historically the oldest seeds of the Mediterranean, fennel from Lisvori, Lesvos and other aromatic herbs. Served with: Fried octopus pieces with Roca salad.

The path of anise will also pass through Bulgaria to continue to Western Europe with drinks such as pastis, anisette, absinthe, anis, sambuca, etc.

Karlovska Anasonlijka: from Chateau Copsa revives a traditional aromatic anise drink, characteristic of the Rose Valley region since time immemorial. It is produced in a traditional method by double distillation of white wine from aromatic varieties from vineyards. For this purpose, a copper distillation system is used, and during the second distillation, high-quality anise seed is added. Karlovska Anasonlijka is characterized by softness, harmonious aromas of delicate anise, pleasant freshness in the taste and a memorable finish. Served with: Rakia Salad/trademark of the Museum of Brandy.

Expect exceptional flavor combinations that will leave you impressed and make this evening an unforgettable experience.
